To provide education, resources, and the exchange of knowledge in support of public works excellence.

Vision
The Alberta Public Works Association is a valued resource and member services organization recognized as the voice of public works in Alberta

Strategic Networks

To facilitate the implementation of a collaborative network of public works related organizations in a way that improves the Alberta Chapter’s capacity to deliver services to the public works community in Alberta for the purpose of enhancing services and reducing duplication.

Outreach

To enhance communications with members, non-members and stakeholder groups in a way that increases visibility of the public works community in Alberta for the purpose of increasing recognition of the public works industry.


Sustainability

To develop a long term financial framework in a way that ensures the Alberta Chapter has the capacity to meet the chapter’s goals for the purpose of improving the Alberta Chapter.


Recruitment & Service

To develop new products and services in a way that will address the needs of the public works community in Alberta for the purpose of creating a sustainable membership and establishing the Alberta Chapter as a qualified, competent service provider.

Advocacy

To identify, interpret, and react to legislative and industry changes in a way that proactively addresses the needs of public works practitioners in Alberta for the purpose of maintaining the chapter’s position as the voice for public works in Alberta.


Education

To identify opportunities to offer comprehensive and timely education programs to industry related employers, managers, supervisors, and workers in a way that enhances the public works industry through training and provides opportunity to manage topic specific issues for the purpose of establishing the chapter as a leader in education.
